GALS Los Angeles

The Sisterhood School

Opening its doors in the fall of 2016, GALS LA is our second location nationwide. We serve 6th through 8th graders with a teacher to student ratio of 25:1. Since GALS LA just completed its second year, it has not received standardized test results yet, but we are eager to find out how the school performs.

I love so much about GALS! One thing I love about teaching at GALS is my ability to be myself. GALS embraces the unique nature in teachers, staff, and students, and working here has given me the opportunity to let my interests, sock collection, and personality shine.

What do you love about teaching at GALS?

The energy at GALS is unlike any other school I’ve been in. We have created a true sense sisterhood. I love seeing students flourish into strong, confident risk-takers both in and out of the classroom.

How has teaching at GALS impacted you?

Teaching at GALS has helped transform me into a better teacher and woman than I ever thought I could be. GALS has taught me the true value and joy in education beyond standards and curriculum. From leading circle to celebrating girls’ talents, I am constantly surprised and impressed by the shining light in each and everyone of our students.
